Producing working prototypes may be basic and informal, as in the case of a one-off project in which a proof-of-concept prototype is desired to evaluate the effectiveness of the design and construction selected before expending the total cost to produce a fully detailed unit. This is a common step in many one-off efforts.
In addition to simple proof-of-concept prototypes, NCMF is experienced in producing working prototypes for standards evaluation and testing by independent testing laboratories, complete with required documentation. NCMF can provide useful guidance in such a process or may contract to manage the process on your behalf if desired. This effort is required in cases where products must be certified as conforming to a particular industry standard or be listed with a testing agency as meeting a particular regulatory standard.
